July 18, 2007 - The lottery of love
Twice a year, the storekeepers of Love alley set up a lottery. For
every 300-yen purchase, they give you a ticket. When you have 10
tickets, you are allowed to spin the wheel... After two or three spins,
a small plastic marble comes out of the machine and the color
determines which price you win.
Today, at lunchtime, while buying my everyday bentô (a
390-yen lunchbox), the storekeeper gave me 50 tickets at once ! She
did so because there were still prizes left, and the lottery ends the
day after tomorrow !
Therefore, I did spin the wheel five times ! The first prize was an
iPod, which I would have appreciated... But I needed a white marble.
Instead, I had two reds, two pinks and one yellow, giving me two tissue
boxes, two soda cans and... a 500-yen gift voucher to
spend in any store in Love alley !!!
So far, it's the biggest prize I've ever won at the lottery of Love
(alley).
